May have acquired Virtual PC from Connectix primarily for its Windows versions of the software, but the latest Mac version makes it even easier for Apple shops to kiss PCs goodbye.
I'm relatively new to Hyper-V and virtualization. What I would like to know, is the best way to create a Mac OS X VM running in Windows Hyper-V host. I'm currently using a Windows 10 based desktop running Hyper-V to create a test lab. I'd like to run a Mac OS X VM in Hyper-V in my test lab. How to Find a MAC Address in VMware and Hyper-V. There might be a time when your network team asks you to check on a MAC address coming from your virtualization infrastructure this could be for a number of reasons. Or you have the MAC address of a virtual machine and have no idea which virtual machine the MAC address belongs to. MAC'S VIRTUAL EXISTENCE. Online Learning Home Design/Media 10 Design/Media 20 Design/Media 30 Saving and the Network Drive.
Our MAC Address API outputs a field called macAddressDetails.virtualMachine. If it detects that a Virtual Machine is using this MAC address, it outputs its vendor name (e.g. ”VMWare”). Otherwise, it outputs “Not detected”.
To detect the Virtual Machines, we build our VM Knowledge Base, which stores information about known relations between MAC addresses and Virtual Machines, and patterns, based on which the Virtual Machines assign MAC addresses to the virtual network interfaces.
This information comes from the two sources:
- We constantly scan the Internet for such information. It’s systemized, stored and verified.
- Our research team installed the Virtual Machines and performed experiments, trying to identify patterns on how their network interfaces receive MAC addresses.
